The “Château de Labourdonnais” is a stunning colonial house dating from 1859, which has been completely restored to its state of origin. It is considered as one of the jewels of the national heritage with its treasures of flora and fauna.
A visit to the Château Labourdonnais at Mapou takes us back to colonial Mauritius period.
After visiting the house, we recommend a stroll in the beautiful park, as well as a stopover in the Mascareignes Rhum distillery or climb aboard the Labourdonnais Express for a fresh and entertaining way to discover the Domaine. The Express offers a 45-minute guided tour of the estate’s gardens, orchards and vanilla greenhouse.
The visit concludes with a fruit paste and juice tasting session
